AERO tests
An exercise test is a perfect way to assess the physical condition. It is a good starting point for setting up a training program. And when the test is repeated, the effects of the training program can be checked.
What does an aero test provide?
Profit of 10—30 watts is no exception
This can translate into ±5 minutes of time savings on half a triathlon, or ±10 minutes on an entire triathlon
Afterwards, you know what your aerodynamic resistance (CdA) is
Afterwards, you will know the impact of your position and material
Afterwards, you'll know Which adjustments pay off the most
What does a test session look like?
Beforehand, we will discuss your equipment (bike, helmet, clothing, bottles) and draw up a test plan. On the test day itself (2—3 hours), we test outside on a quiet road or, if desired, on a velodrome. After a short warm-up and calibration, several test runs with different setups follow, giving you immediate feedback. On average, we do 3—4 runs per hour. Afterwards, we will analyse the results and you will receive a short report with personal advice.
What can we test?
We test what's relevant to you, such as different helmets, postures, clothing, bottle positions, accessories, or the effect of head or arm position. We discuss this beforehand so that the test is as effective as possible.
Where is the test and what do you need?
The test usually takes place on a quiet, flat road of about 3 km. In consultation, this can also be done at a velodrome. You need your own bike in a competition setup (including power supply and bottles), a power meter (mandatory), and any additional equipment you want to test. In case of bad weather, we will reschedule the test.
